As part of wider changes to housing related support approved in February 2017, Norfolk County Council agreed to invest around £1.3m of funding in community based interventions for people on the edge of needing formal social care services and people on the edge of homelessness.
We will be holding a market engagement event for providers and interested stakeholders on 22 November to discuss how we can invest £800,000 annually on services to help tackle loneliness and social isolation.
For more information and to register your interest please see the attached link: http://ted.europa.eu/TED/notice/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:433370-2017:TEXT:EN:HTML
Please note: service providers interested in being kept informed about any possible procurement process for this service should ensure that they register via the link within the Prior Information Notice (PIN).
Alternatively, email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
What is the purpose of the event?
The purpose of this Market Engagement event is to share with interested organisations the current thinking and conversations Norfolk County Council has had, and wants to have, concerning the issue of loneliness and social isolation. Please see the attached email which contains further background
Has a decision been made about how this service will be tendered?
This is a decision that Norfolk County Council still has to make and will be informed by the views of interested stakeholders. This event will be a useful opportunity to ensure that interested stakeholders have an opportunity to speak with Commissioners from Norfolk County Council about this proposal.
What is the timeline for any procurement?
As mentioned above, a decision still needs to be made about how Norfolk County Council may want to commission a service or set of services. Further information on the timeline including key decision points will be shared at the event.
